Stitching Weekend

Gosh it's been a while, hasn't it.

Life has been whizzing by and there is no time to do all the things I would like to.

But I did take time out recently to go up to Needle N Thread in Geraldine, to attend a Jane Van Keulen class.
What a great weekend, lovely ladies and Jane is just the best tutor.
All the ladies stiched some beautiful pieces.
Some sat in deep concentration.
The piece below is not mine, it's Jane's, but this is what I hope mine will look like.
Although I lost my mojo on the Saturday and couldn't for the life of me see to do any stitching.
Until one of the ladies lent me her clip on magnifier glasses.

Then I just looked like Mr Magoo.
Sunday was much better and I achieved a bit more than the day before.
And yes you guessed it, I haven't done a stitch for weeks.
Good thing about embroidery, you can put it down and pick it up whenever you like.
Just hope it's not six years down the track, like the last piece, which is in the framers and I will show you when I pick it up.

Off to the Quilt Market in Houston next Wednesday and just had to get a little something for the trip.

WOULD YOU TAKE A LOOK AT THESE!!!!!

They said BUY ME as soon as I saw them.

Gorgeous fabric outer and leather lined, just perfect for summer, if it arrives.

Raining here again today.

Labour weekend this weekend, holiday on Monday YAY!!

And  the Rugby World Cup Final, Go The All Blacks.

Have a safe and happy weekend
