Krafty Kiwi

Who's a Krafty Kiwi then?

Not just his mother.
This is Chris, our middle son, Christopher when he's naughty, you know how it is.
He is doing his second year at teachers college and has to do an enterprise paper.
So he is making wheat bags, under the Krafty Kiwi label, which is also doubling as a fund raiser for his month in Auckland teaching.
He actually won a scholarship to go to Auckland which is great as it is based on his academic year so far.
The sad news is that the scholarship funds are very, well should we say SMALL.
Today was sewing day and the first time he has been on the sewing machine since he was fourteen, a memory he has not fogotten, as last time he sewed straight through his finger!!
He is now 27 years old and handled it beautifully.

Here is his first order finished.
A neck wheat bag with a removable, washable cover, in 100% cotton.
And his second order, for a dentist friend in Wellington.
I do have to admit, that I did most of the covers, while Chris, sews the liners, traces them and cuts them out.
Visit the Krafty Kiwi facebook page if you would like to order one.

Raining here today, so it was just the perfect weather for being inside sewing.
Take Care

Ahhhh, the joys of teacher training. What a nice Mum you are letting you 'little bloke' play with your machine - not to mention brave.
See you soon, Miche'le
