Up, Down, Over and Back

It has been a while, but I have been up to Wellington with dad and his surgery went well.

Thanks for all your well wishes.

I was lucky to be able to have time away from my work to spend with dad and get to bond again
with my sister from Perth.

Then my hubby and I took off for a few days in Melbourne.

Wonderful to have some one on one time together.
Lots of shopping, good food and wine and visits to the museum and art gallery.

This shop was top of my list to visit.

All I can say is amazing.

I did make some purchases and will show you later what I bought.

Then just when you think you have life in general all sorted..............another trip away for a family funeral.

Up to Tauranga, with dad and sister.

Always a sad occasion, but lovely to see uncles, cousins and aunty, that you haven't seen for an age.

I got to hear and find out all about these two people that I never ever knew anything about.

 My great grandfather, handsome devil aye.

And my great grandmother.

The past 6 weeks has been a real family affair and I have learnt so much.

FAMILY IS SO IMPORTANT.

I did manage to get quiet a lot of stitching done, so will be back soon to show you all my finishes.
